ROSH HASHANAH FEAST
As my grandmother use to say: “who ever eats well at Erev Rosh Hashanah will eat well for the rest of the year”, we traditionally eat food that symbolize our blessing upon ourselves as well as the curse for our enemies: the famous apple will be dipped in honey for a good and sweet year; head of fish (or head of lamb) just has our head (brain) directs us, Rosh Hashanah directs the ensuing year ; pomegranate for righteousness (it has 613 seeds which correspond to the number of mitzvot in the Torah) and fruitfulness and many more. We will create a feast ensuring we all have a very happy, healthy and sweet new year.

Chicken Liver Pate with pomegranate Topping Chicken soup with kreplach (and 3 different fillings) Roast Sirloin wrapped in fig jam and herbs Roast sweet vegetables with cinnamon and nuts Green beans and almond salad Celebration bulgur salad with pomegranate seeds and nuts Fruit salad with coconut, mint and ginger Upside down apple and honey cake
